Himalayan Run & Trek "The International ANNUAL Himalayan 100 Mile Stage Race is the most spectacular running course in the world" said an ex-winner. During the race, views of Mt.Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, and Kanchenjunga (4 out of 5 of the worlds highest peaks) are visible. While running and walking, you can easily take in mountain views, catch a glimpse of national Park wild life, and chat with villagers at fully stocked aid stations every few miles. this event was first held in 1991.

This event already welcomed many international ultra runners (Marshall Ulrich, Theresa Daus Webber, Mario Malerbs, Hajime Nishi, Hillari Walker, Mrs.Dawn kenwright, Lisa Smith, Brent J Weigner, Fred Pilon, Norm Klein, Steven Seaton, Andy Blabkford, Bart Yasso, John Bozong etc.) Helen Klein, the world record holder, at the age 71, was during 1994.

According to runtime chart of
previous years the youngest one was only 14 and the oldest was 78. Each year a good percentage of runners/
walkers are generally between 50 and 65. Sex of participants is generally 10% more males more than females, although women out numbered men in 1993. Women have had as high finish rate as men.
