Himalayan Run & Trek
"The International ANNUAL Himalayan 100 Mile Stage Race is the most
spectacular running course in the world" said an ex-winner. During the race, views of
Mt.Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, and Kanchenjunga (4 out of 5 of the worlds highest peaks) are
visible. While running and walking, you can easily
take in mountain views, catch a glimpse of national Park wild life, and chat with
villagers at fully stocked aid stations every few miles. this event was first held in
1991.

This event already welcomed many
international ultra runners (Marshall Ulrich, Theresa Daus Webber, Mario Malerbs, Hajime
Nishi, Hillari Walker, Mrs.Dawn kenwright, Lisa Smith, Brent J Weigner, Fred Pilon, Norm
Klein, Steven Seaton, Andy Blabkford, Bart Yasso, John Bozong etc.) Helen Klein, the world
record holder, at the age 71, was during 1994.

According to runtime chart of previous years the youngest one was only 14 and the oldest
was 78. Each year a good percentage of runners/
walkers are generally between 50 and 65. Sex of participants is generally 10% more males
more than females, although women out numbered men in 1993. Women have had as high finish
rate as men.
