I am glad to know that the 13th Himalayan 100 Mile Stage
Race and 9th Mount Everest Challenge Marathon were successfully
organized in the Eastern Himalayan region by M/s Himalayan Run & Trek
during October 31 – November 7, 2003. It is a matter of pride that an event started thirteen years ago in
the Indian Himalayas, is the world’s first and only eco-sport event with AAA
rating. The event has not only helped to bring positive influence among
foreign travelers but also to make the Indian Himalayan one of the best
eco-friendly adventure sport tourist destinations in the world. I convey my appreciation to all the participants and wish all success
for future projects and events. JAGMOHAN Minister for Tourism & Culture Government of India *************************************************************************** I am happy to learn that the 13th International Himalayan

1. This is a truly
international cosmopolitan race where the slowest runners are afforded equal
acclaim with and fastest. – Hilary Wharam, USA 2. Would recommend it thoroughly – Sue Riches, UK 3 The most beautiful trail in the world. – Colin Bennett, UK 4 Every Race Director in the US should do
this race, never in my life have I seen a better organized event – Katen
Riddle, USA 5 The course was quite beautiful &
well marked (better than most races I have done). – Michaek Wardian, USA 6 The world's most beautiful Marathon. – S, Seaton, Runners World, U.K. 7 Course distance perfect for multi-day event. – H. Nishi, Japan 8 I have been running for six years. I have run marathons across
the world – from Dubai to Paris and London. But nothing absolutely anything
compares with the 100 miles Himalayan run. The event is magical, it is tough,
soul destroying in places and it brings tears of pain and tears of joy. The views
of Mt. Everest 4 day’s stage and especially Kanchenjunga are own-inspiring
and will stay with me for the rest of my life. I would do it all again. Why? Because of the comradeship, which the event crates – I have met some of the nicest people I will ever care to meet in my future. Because of the beauty of the Himalayas… one if the wonders of the world. And because Mr. Pandey has created one of the worlds, if not the world’s, best stage race. – Jeffrey Prestridege 9.
